Haywire On The Approach!

Stingers are approaching with ferocious speed. Captain C is lying on his couch, puffing away his smoke. Unusual for someone to be in space and smoke. But the Omnifluxers are wide and diverse, inclusive and tolerant of all earthly joys and extravagances. The builders made them larger than the usual ships constructed from the fourth decade of last century well into the new century, when humanity started realizing its doom unless something changed. That giveaway was Valedictory 3 and Xposure 1. It was way too dramatic for humanity to learn that Erron Gusk had changed from a biological species to an exasperated post-human form. A lot of niche thinking had been going on. But once his mates and his cohorts died, he was the only one remaining in a world where it counts to be you and human. The many anti-tech and transformation movements on mid-century Earth led people to establish enclaves in space, orbit, underground, and on isolated islands.
Gusk, together with the rest of his cohorts, people (I mean, if you considered them people) like Deter Viel, Drake Tandreezen, etc. - they all migrated into the transformati logs. Where their human consciousness strengthened into a replica of a state where the ability to communicate with the larger space squadron of billion-to-billion entities on each eight corners of the Milky Way was the standard. Gust and Tendreezen were the first ones to deploy their consciousness from their biological extract to a mere synthetic construct.
It didn’t have a shape or a form of any known human-made shit. It stands to be the most formidable conglomerate of conscious built and RAX feebleness. (This is the quantum-led extract and processing device that can wreck a hole in your invisible you and turn you into anything that you choose to be). Gusk chose the elements of plurality in space. So he wanted the ability to travel into greater depths of space to see, explore and hunt for new Earth-like ecosystems just so he could colonise and carry favour with the MW Alliance (The Milky Way Alliance). Tandreezen is much more orthodox and prefers to stimulate situations where he rebuilds humanity for his own ends - data extraction and expanding human to alliance frontiers.
In the year 2088, the forces of human survival and the spread forces of Karmatan signed the first MOU. These lots were vicious inter-bred species that interacted with humans by the adaptable genomes and structures. They infiltrated humanity at its core at the earliest time - back in the 1300s - when the Church (Vatican, that is) hid knowledge and information. People were not ready. They will never be ready, they exclaimed, and that line kept going for a very long time.
Anyhow, Gusk and crew dominated the platforms of invention and take-off initiatives, and by the time they conquered planet Mars and made it habitable, it was the year 2100. Gusk needed life-extension support. Calling it a life-extension support system is something he hates. He coined a new term: Interspace Survivability and Existentiality Operating & Space Operating Migration - ISEOSOM, or what his Mum would refer to as Human Propulsion Emigration Flight. He didn’t care in the end. What he wanted was a steady stream of flights heading for Mars, and the rest was history that he could afford to emulate and tried to. To the surprise of many entities , Gusk was working in a parallel system of transition. He was building modular ships for beyond-Mars AUs. This, he thought, would never be a public feature. He wanted to escape because he had been in touch with the Alliance entities to spread human touch in the spaces and places where there is no human presence. A purely egalitarian approach, but something was missing. That important piece was that humanity will always suppress junctions and dissent. Humanity will bring out its worst traits and use them as a force for change, and if you get stuck in the middle of a drive you started, innovated, and produced for humanity’s improvement, mate, you are in trouble. They have killed you. So, Gusk believed that his interchangeability drive (multi-dimensional thinking within a fraction of a second simultaneously) could create an opportunity for him to suppress that thought, power on, sign the agreement with the Alliance, and build the new frontier.
Once entities (human societies) discovered what Gusk was after and about, they decided that the game was up and began rebelling. This was a tough transition for Gusk. This is when he embarked on the transition, and to him by his team introduced RAX feebleness to him. People remember that day well. This was the year 2100. Gongua, a 25-year-old little genius, presented Gusk with a present. The present, covered in a veil and the size of a shoebox, made you feel something strange inside yourself when you held it. Almost as if you were pregnant everywhere: your hand , your head, your heart, and your whole body. Gusk refused to hold the object. He was too frail, and way too many conscious transfers had been happening over the years, which made him tired and exhausted. When Gus picks up the box, he can immediately feel the dynamics of the thing. He didn’t know what to say at first, but then he changed his mind. He has a premonition; he thinks he can do better. A present from his staff. He accepts it and immediately puts it on the table. He looks Gongua straight in the eye and adds; What the fuck is this thing? " It’s playing with my cells? Why is it making me feel sick? What is it?’ He is inquisitive and keen to know more. Poor guy wants to know more about his present. He is impatient and not very constructive for the world of unknown gifting. Gongua, the engineer that he is, part0hybrid and only five percent in the human spectrum because his daddy and mamma wanted him not to be the talk of the eschatology of things to come from a society that looks down on genius - with his head down and slightly embarrassed responds; Just so you are aware, the stingers are just near to here. We have devised a system by which we can beat them. We can remove the entire process of risks and merge pur stretch. Stretch refers to expansion in earthly and beyond-earthly orbitals where campaigns to intimidate other alliance entities take place, and where humans, as understood in past centuries, neither accept nor endorse such actions. Gusk shows no alarm, surprisingly. He pulls his linear hologram onto the retina and registers a list of things that he needs to tick over before he decides. G2 (Gusk 2, the human interface and experience) tells him not to rush. To be cautious. We need a plan, G2 tells him. Gusk refuses. He pulls another layer, the Excostream (a multi-thinking mode that galvanises the most ruthless operations inside the “factory map” otherwise known as the Brain and the mind) and seeks more options, more alternatives, more data, more live and livid experiences. He needs calculations running simultaneously inside his head so he can upload the stuff and make a quick decision which will give him an upper hand to captain C in the room's corner who already has a plan and an action plan to embrace or execute at Gusks will.
While he adjusts his process-thinking, he is standing still. A fraction of a millisecond has just gone by. No one knows he is processing yet. I mean, they are aware, yet no one pays any attention to it. He has not allowed the latest to be uploaded, and his Excostream serves multiple purposes for him. He detects that somebody has entered his EXCST unauthorised. He inhales deeply. Opens the transparent shield (this is a mechanism whereby anybody feeling shy or embarrassed covers themselves with this shield, which is unnoticeable for the rest of the people surrounding but it hides human physical or facial reactions) He keeps banging the other fist. He has the shield on, but is angry. He feels his bio side of him wants to do something stupid. Like spitting or faeces processing on the floor. He wants to bite the other arm but knows that arms are metallic and you will not achieve much by biting it. He wants to shout and probably smash a couple of heads together in rage. But he wanted to avoid appearing unhinged.
Ok. He said to Gongua, “ I get it. You want to propel them into a shithole and then what? I mean, would not it not be stupid for us to do that? What if we propel them into shitterines and then their Permalayers (these are energy bits that come in the size of photons that carry enough power to push planets off their axis, thus destroying, potentially, life on Earth, while creating a huge mass of whitehole right in the middle of Milky).
Gongua is desperate to leave and head for the exit door. But Gusk does not let him.
Wait, did you or somebody from your team enter my EXCS unauthorised? And the way he says is by smiling and being slightly casual.
Gongua has had enough. They halted him halfway through, and he is expecting a response. Expecting to rise to that. Expecting to say something.
‘Would you, ate least, be so kind, boss, and just be honest with me. You can shout if you choose to. You can have a go at me. And stop playing, you and just be serious about this. What the hell are you talking about? If I ever had an inclination to do things like that. Why would I!?’ Gongua responds. The sliding frame that usually opens in front of guests or entities leaving does not open. But Gongua is swallowed up by the Metrekor (a wormhole-type mechanism that Gusk uses to detain his staff.
