_Science Fiction and Speculative Writing
Spaceway
Serialised science fiction for readers who want stories that take the future seriously.
Spaceway is where the fiction lives. Each month, subscribers receive new chapters of ongoing serialised work alongside short fiction, speculative essays and writing from the boundary between science and imagination. Written by Emanuel Bajra, member of the British Science Fiction Association.
_ Why spaceway is different
What your subscription includes
Science fiction is at its best when the science is real and the speculation is honest. Spaceway is not comfort reading. It is fiction written by someone who reads physics papers, follows geopolitical developments and thinks seriously about the kind of futures that are actually being built rather than the ones that make for easy stories.
Subscribers get the work as it is made: chapter by chapter, with the thinking behind it. This is the closest thing to reading over the author's shoulder while the story is still being written.
✓ New serialised fiction chapters every month, delivered before any public release
✓ Short fiction and standalone speculative stories published exclusively for subscribers
✓ Essays on science, physics and the ideas that inform the fiction
✓ Behind the scenes notes on the writing process, research and world-building decisions
✓ Full access to the Spaceway archive from the date of publication
✓ Early access to new projects, announcements and forthcoming titles
_ Content
Serialised Fiction
The main event. Ongoing serialised science fiction published chapter by chapter each month. Stories are long-form, carefully researched and built around ideas that conventional publishing tends to find too demanding. Subscribers receive each chapter as it is completed.
Short Fiction and Speculative Stories
Standalone short stories and speculative pieces published alongside the serialised work. These are the ideas that do not fit into the longer narrative but deserve to exist on their own terms. Some are dark. Some are funny. All of them begin with a genuine question.
Essays and Ideas
The thinking behind the fiction. Essays on alternative physics, speculative economics, the history of science fiction and the real-world developments that end up in the stories. These are written for readers who want to understand the ideas as well as the narrative.
