Alienation: Gongol the III reign on earth

Alienation imagines a world that hasn't yet arrived but plausibly could within a few decades — a near-future the present-day narrative would rather deny. Set in the mid-21st century, it follows Sarah, a nurse and a strong female lead grappling with terrible tragedy as an extra-terrestrial force invades her world.

Though the story centres on Sarah, the people around her shape her journey. Her husband, Rybs, brings intrigue through his uncertain intentions and actions, culminating in his abduction by an alien army with a deliberate plan for him. Later, Sarah meets Lucy — an atypical, shadowy figure who makes little sense to her at first but becomes both confidante and lover. Unbeknownst to Sarah, Lucy leaves a trail of murder in her flight to Scotland, killing key characters along the way. Sarah must find a way to make peace with these truths for the sake of love and compassion, in a world that has ended and is only now beginning again.

_ Why I write science fiction

"Science fiction is the only genre that takes the future seriously. It is not escapism. It is rehearsal."

Every story I write begins with a question that economics, physics or politics has left unanswered, and follows it to wherever honesty leads. I write for readers who are not afraid of where that might go.
